Mental Health Support Worker at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley, Kenepuru Hospital/Porirua

Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Whatu Ora - Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District

Location: Ratonga Rua O Porirua Campus, Porirua

Service:  Intensive Rehabilitation - Tane Mahuta

Contract: Permanent, Part-time. Rostered & Rotation - 4 days on, 2 days off

Salary:  NZNO OR PSA NURSING MECA - $50,741 - $65,334

We are looking for someone who likes variety in their work life and is up for a new challenge.  We have a vacancy with the opportunity to develop your skills in a stimulating and supportive environment.  Mental Health Support Workers work closely alongside the nurses supporting and providing support to the patients/clients working towards their recovery.

Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team

Tane Mahuta is an open rehabilitation mental health unit for up to 34 clients within Te Korowai Whāriki - s Rehabilitation service.  This is a regional innovative supportive service working with clients in supporting their journey with a multi-disciplinary team approach.

Moū - About you

We would like to hear from you if:

  • You can make a difference
  • You have energy and the ability to think on your feet
  • Are a team player
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Can work under direction and delegation of the registered nurse

You must also hold:

  • A relevant L4 MHSW certificate
  • Meet police vetting requirements
  • A full NZ Drivers License
  • Experience working in Mental Health settings
