Registered Nurse ( District Nursing) at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand South Canterbury, Primary and Community Services

RN for District Nursing

Permanent Part time, 0.7 FTE

Right now, we - re looking for a District Registered Nurse with lots of experience behind them to join the team.  You - ll enjoy the flexibility of a role where you get to assess and develop care plans that supports rehabilitation and recovery of patients in their homes. 

The role works closely across a multiciliary team including, Allied Health, Needs Assessment, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Palliative Care Nurses and Primary Care providers and forms an integral part of the District Nursing team.

Success in this role includes:

  • Previous community experience and/or a passion for providing care that supports people in their own homes
  • Ability to prioritise workload and supervise and delegate to care staff (such as Enrolled Nurses and Clinical Associates)
  • Delivery of a safe and effective patient focused service

A current Practicing Certificate and full driver - s license are essential.
