We are looking for an experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist who is passionate about working in neurological assessment and rehabilitation with adults, providing patient centred and goal focused rehabilitation. This is a full time role working on the Integrated Stroke Unit providing best practice intervention and rehabilitation to patients with neurological conditions.
We are looking for someone who has a broad range of experience working in the inpatient setting and you will have experience in assessing how neurological impairments impact occupational performance. It is preferable that you have experience assessing and providing wheelchair and seating solutions. As an OT working in the Stroke and Rehab allied health team at North Shore Hospital you will have the opportunity to link closely with and potentially cross cover into the Older Adult Assessment, Treatment and Rehabilitation (AT&R) Ward as well as into our community based early discharge and rehabilitation service (EDARS).
As a senior practitioner you will be part of a senior team providing day to day clinical expertise and support to the inpatient Occupational Therapy and wider Allied Health team in close liaison with the Occupational Therapy Clinical Leader, Team Manager and Professional Clinical Leader for Occupational Therapy. You will also work closely with the Occupational Therapy Clinical Coach.
You must be a New Zealand registered Occupational Therapist and possess at least 5 years of relevant post graduate experience. You must be able to demonstrate leadership skills, strength in organisation and communication, and be motivated and passionate about quality improvement. You will also have experience in supporting staff, students and service development.
