In this role you will work with Arrangement & Description specialists to create finding aids for societal archives, aka 'unpublished collections'. You will demonstrate a developed understanding of archival description; an ability to scope and plan work; productivity in processing archival collections; and communication skills for training and quality assurance.
Additionally, you will be part of a team providing system administration support and training
for the Library's collection management system, Ke EMu.
You will work closely with other teams particularly Curatorial Services, Digital Collection Services, Collection Care, Research Enquires, National Library Online, and the National Digital Heritage Archive, as well as Technology Services and Solutions, and our collections management system vendor.
The Library sits within Te Haumi branch, the Department's epicentre of information management, culture and heritage. Our branch is all about collecting, storing, and preserving important things that are precious to New Zealand.
