About us:
Health New Zealand - Counties Manukau District serves a unique and diverse community. We’re the largest employer in South Auckland employing over 9200, amazing staff spread across 23 different sites, operated by Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand. We offer secondary-level (hospital and specialist) care and a selected range of community and domiciliary services for the population of Counties Manukau - the area that stretches from Otahuhu to Port Waikato.
About the role:
In this role, you will provide leadership and operational management of the administration team within the Haematology Department to ensure safe and efficient delivery. You are responsible for the coordination and facilitation of the administration continuous quality improvement programme within the service. You will provide expert advice and act as a change agent and promote changes that increase performance, quality and improve patient outcomes.
This is a full time position working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday and based at Middlemore Hospital.
About you:
The ideal candidate will need to have:
- A minimum of 3 years of recent experience a relevant health field
- High level of verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff and supervising staff in a service-based setting
- High levels of initiative and motivation, willingness to generate quality outputs.

Dependent on skills and experience the salary is in line with the PSA Clerical and Administrative staff collective agreement.
