Contract:  Temporary

Salary: $85,000 to 115,000 pro rata

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Infant, Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Service (ICAFS) in the Hutt Valley. We are looking for and enthusiastic registered Psychologist with experience working in child and adolescent mental health to join our service. 

Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team

ICAFS provides assessment and interventions for 0-18 year olds with moderate to severe mental health needs and their whanau. The service utilises the Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA) model of treatment and consists of two energetic multidisciplinary teams, Tautāwhi and Kaiārahi. Tautāwhi is the - front door team - for ICAFS, providing choice appointment initial assessments, brief interventions, consult liaison to the inpatient wards at Hutt Hospital and support at crisis assessments undertaken by the Crisis Resolution Service. Kaiārahi is the - partnership - team for ICAFS, providing individual, whānau, and group treatments and extended assessments following initial assessment. The position available is within the Tautāwhi team.

Moū - About you

Successful applicants will be expected to work collaboratively and supportively with other team members to ensure provision of appropriate and evidence based care. The people suitable for these roles will also have excellent clinical and case management skills and be comfortable managing risk. The ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the team, service, the wider mental health services and community agencies is integral to this role. Additionally, ICAFS provide Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Family Therapy (with a screening team) so we are especially interested in clinicians with these skills.
