Clinical Charge Midwife Ward 98 (High-Risk Inpatient) at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Toka Tumai Auckland, Auckland

    Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity   

    We are currently recruiting for Clinical Charge Midwives for Ward 98.  You will be the go-to person for advice and support. You will work closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team and the Co-Charge Midwives.

     

    The role will be based in Ward 98. This is the high-risk antenatal and postnatal inpatient area with a total of 23 physical bed spaces. We have also recently merged with Whitinga ora pēpi, our 8 bedded newborn transitional care unit located on ward 96. The team in Whitinga ora pēpi work very closely with ward 98. As the national referral centre for maternal and neonatal cardiac medicine, as well as the tertiary referral centre for the Auckland Region and Northland we provide care for women and babies with complex medical needs. We provide woman centred care, and work in partnership with the woman, her whanau and her LMC.

     

    There is the possibility of working part-time or full-time in this role.  We are looking for midwives who are up to this challenge!

      

    Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

     

    We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dynamic midwife with expert clinical skills to join our team of clinical charge midwives.

     

    You will also have the following:

    •           Knowledge of the NZ Maternity system and significant proven midwifery experience a minimum of 5 years

    •           Strong leadership skills and flexibility; this combined with optimum use of resources will ensure the provision of efficient, effective and quality healthcare.

    •           Excellent communication skills with the capacity to innovate and motivate others, within a changing environment
