Provisional Cardiac Physiologist, Full Time 1.0FTE - Two Year Fixed Term Contract. Cardiology, Te Whatu Ora – Counties Manukau District

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly Cardiology Team based across Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Superclinic. We are looking for a 1.0 FTE, 2 year Fixed Term Provisional Cardiac Physiologist.  
The role involves on the job completion of the Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Technology run via distance through Otago University and a two year Certification of Cardiac Physiologists run through the Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology NZ.  
 
You will be trained to preform non-invasive cardiac procedures including ECG recording, Holter monitor and Event fitting, Exercise Tolerance Testing and Spirometry eventually progressing into monitor analysis, and pacemaker implantations/clinic follow ups across both our Middlemore and Manukau Superclinic sites. You will be working alongside a supportive inter-disciplinary team within the Cardiac investigation unit including Physiologists, sonographers and technicians. 
 
The successful candidate will: 
Have an undergraduate degree in science/health.  
Ideal candidates may have completed MTEC 701/702.  
Have a passion for excellent service delivery focusing on top quality care for our patients. 
Be flexible and adaptable with excellent time management skills 
Be  a 'people person' with excellent communication skills 
Have the ability to maintain high professional standards  
Be a highly-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a team as well as independently
