Are you enthusiastic about Property and Facilities Management, and a practitioner with exceptional people and relationship skills? We are looking for a talented individual to join our team at Te Tari Taiwhenua Department of Internal Affairs.
With your background and expertise in Property and Facilities you will help us manage risk, leases, and facilities across our diverse and unique mix of leased and owned properties and promote great working relationships to promote a positive work environment.
- Join a newly established Property team
- Implement Portfolio Management for specific properties to support Te Tari Taiwhenua
- Bring your professional property expertise to manage specific buildings of critical importance

To be successful in this role, you will need a proven history with a portfolio of property and facilities, preferably within Government, excellent communication and relationship building skills. We are seeking a Property Portfolio Manager to deliver property services to specific branches across Te Tari Taiwhenua. This is a wonderful opportunity to really make your mark.
If you have proven experience in the following areas:
- Property Management of specialised and high-profile buildings
- Operating as part of a high performing Property team
- Experience managing internal stakeholders and business owners
- Experience in strategy setting, managing risks and benefits and prioritising activity
- Applying legislative and operational policy frameworks within a service delivery context
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience is desirable

In this role, you will provide strategic oversight to our property team, support operational activities through our business partnering model, and mentor and coach our team to achieve success with confidence.
With your expertise in Property and Facilities you will help us manage Facilities, risk, leases, and promote policies and procedures that foster a positive work environment.
