Contract: Permanent, Part time (16 hours, 2 days a week)
Salary: $63,627 - $67,984 (pro-rated)
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
If you are an experienced Administrator with strong telephone skills, excellent communication, fast and accurate word processing as well as good organisation skills, then we would like to hear from you. We require an individual who has sound knowledge and experience in Winscribe dictation typing, office and computer systems along with court report writing, filing and general reception duties. The work is interesting and demanding, and requires an Administrator who can undertake the duties in a professional and confident manner.
This role works across Thursday and Friday every week, 8 hours a day.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
Te Korowai Whariki (TKW) is an operational group of regional and national services that has staff based in various locations in the Central Region, from Gisborne to Wanganui through to Wellington. Te Korowai Whariki services are both inpatient and community based. Te Korowai Whariki consists primarily of two arms - Central Regional Services and the Intellectual Disability (ID) Services
The regional arm includes the Central Regional Forensic Mental Health Service, Youth Forensic Service and Rehabilitation and Extended Care inpatient Service. This position is located in the regional arm of Te Korowai-Whāriki which includes the Central Regional Forensic Mental Health Service. The Forensic Mental Health Service operates at the interface between Mental Health Services and the Justice System and works within the following settings - prisons, courts, community, and inpatient. The Service offers assessment and rehabilitation services to defendants charged with criminal offences and offenders who have psychiatric illness.
Moū - About you
The ideal candidate would be someone who can ensure admin systems are developed and maintained and are able to ensure that all processes are completed expeditiously to a high standard of quality.
Other skills that would add to the requirements of this role are:
- Experience in developing administrative procedures
- Working knowledge of computer programmes including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Commitment to customer service
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to prioritise workload and deal with multiple tasks in pressure situations
