Senior Assurance Advisor at Accident Compensation Corporation, Wellington
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
Our vision at ACC is to create a unique partnership with every New Zealander, improving their quality of life by minimising the incidence and impact of injury. We've got an extraordinary team of hugely talented people across New Zealand contributing to this mahi, including our Internal Audit & Assurance team, which works to identify how business objectives and risks are managed and if there are any areas that can be improved.
We have an opportunity to join the team as a Senior Assurance Advisor. This is a permanent role, based in Wellington.
Mō tenei tūrana mahi | About this role
Reporting to the Manager Internal Audit & Assurance, the Senior Assurance Advisor designs and undertakes audits and review across a range of business units, either as scheduled in the Internal Assurance Plan or ad hoc upon request. This includes the full scope of assurance activities from researching the function and industry standards and legislation, to fieldwork (interviews, document reviews, and testing of controls) to documenting and reporting findings to management. You will also provide assurance over programme delivery and achievement of benefits.
A key focus of your work will be identifying opportunities for improvement, with an emphasis on providing context and proposing solutions rather than just finding problems. Business change is delivered using Agile, and the scope to add value through assurance insights and data analytics continues to grow.
Our Internal Audit team consists of Principal, Senior and Advisor level professionals and the work is diverse, interesting, and challenging. We offer a positive work environment, ongoing development, and exposure to the workings of a large and complex organisation. Now is a great time to join ACC. We have an exciting new organisational strategy - Huakina Te Rā 2023-2033 and there is plenty of opportunity to contribute and make a difference.
