We are seeking a highly motivated person with interview experience to join our team and help support our continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a distinctive role where the right individual has a chance to apply their skills and knowledge over a broad range of activities, interesting work and complex tasks, and provide support to both Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) and New Zealand Security Intelligence Services (NZSIS). 

You will support the PERSEC Team Manager in the day-to-day oversight of case management and coaching within the team of PERSEC Advisors. You will also be accountable in supporting, identifying, assessing, and managing complex personnel security risks within the NZIC, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the team to lift the security culture within the NZIC.

Working with a wide variety of individuals and teams will be an important part of this role. It will require you to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, partners, and stakeholders, as well as provide a high standard of customer service.

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

• Experience in coaching and leading groups through business improvement initiatives
• Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, in particular writing complex details for variety of audiences
• An ability to work well under pressure to deadlines, using sound problem solving skills, effective risk management and good judgement
• A working knowledge of the Protective Security Requirements
