Casual Maternity Care Assistant - Midwifery Students - North Shore at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitematā, Auckland

We are seeking Maternity Care Assistants who are enrolled in a Bachelor of Midwifery (Years 3 and 4) with a great work ethic, communication and interpersonal skills to join our team in the Maternity Ward, at North Shore Hospital on a casual basis.

Duties will be under the direction supervision of the midwifery team, assisting with breastfeeding women and babies, assisting women to shower, restocking rooms, communicating with the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring the department is kept clean and tidy, support with paperwork packs and much more. 

You are expected to have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, a good command of oral and written English and some knowledge and understanding of the health care system, and have worked as an undergraduate with mothers, babies and whanau in the hospital setting.
