Senior Clinician Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapist (Full Time) Middlemore Hospital at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Counties Manukau, Auckland

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapist to join our team in a dynamic and progressive organisation at Counties Manukau District.

This Senior Clinician role will be based at Middlemore Hospital and is working predominantly within our complex medical wards thus giving you many opportunities to enhance your clinical leadership by promoting high standards of clinical practice, service development and research activities in a large hospital that strives to provide excellent care to a culturally diverse community. 

Our medical wards have a wide range of medical specialities for you to have these opportunities to work within including acute Covid care, cardiology, renal, haematology and ED as we work together to achieve health equity and reduce disparities within our community. 

Counties Manukau Health proactively supports professional development opportunities both as an individual and a team with wide-ranging internal programmes alongside paid study leave and financial support for external courses. 

The successful applicants will be in a team of approximately 16 Physiotherapists, as part of our wider Cardiorespiratory/Acute Neuro team that provide Physiotherapy input across many of Middlemore Hospitals acute areas. Professionally you will be supported by a Section Head and other Senior Physiotherapists within the team and across the DHB.  You will be orientated and credentialed to contribute to the weekend/oncall roster across all acute areas within the hospital to help enhance your clinical development across a wider clinical field including our national burns and northern regional acute spinal service.

Essential:

  • Current Annual Practising Certificate
  • At least 5 years post-graduation physiotherapy experience, ideally the majority within cardiorespiratory inpatient areas
  • Full, clean NZ drivers licence
