Lakes District Hospitals is seeking a new Senior Medical officer with passion for Palliative Medicine.

The ideal candidate for this role will have an interest in further developing specialist services to meet the needs of a rapidly growing and culturally diverse population. The role requires you to work across a range of acute inpatient services and ambulatory services including clinics, hospice and patients homes.

• Therefore it is essential to have capability in delivering specialist services to people and whanau  who are experiencing a life limiting condition.
• Have experience in the acute hospital setting
• Has a focus on equitable services and health outcomes
• Actively participate in the education and training of under graduate and post graduate medical and nursing staff
