To do this, we are working hard to develop a robust and capable workforce that reflects the population we serve. A little about our service - the Pathology service provides an extensive range of diagnostic testing across five laboratory sites in the Waikato region and processes referred specialist testing for the wider region.
The Taumarunui laboratory is located at the hospital, and provides services for both hospital and community patients. The laboratory mainly processes specimens requiring Haematology and Biochemistry tests, and does limited Microbiology.
