Community Occupational Therapist
Permanent or locum considered, full time

An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Proficient Occupational Therapist and join our passionate Occupational Therapy team at Te Whatu Ora Lakes. 

The successful applicant will have a supportive working environment.  In addition to providing/supporting the delivery of Occupational Therapy within the community setting, the staff member will play a key role in contributing to the promotion and development of the Occupational Therapy services and the profession as a whole.  

Mō te tūranga / About the role

• The role requires the ability to provide effective Occupational Therapy to the Lakes community.  It is expected a varied caseload will be maintained with an expectation of building expertise in the MOH accreditation areas.  
  
• The role is primarily working within the community setting – Lakes geographical areas.   
  
• Full time (40hrs per week) permanent position 
  
• Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm

Mō koe / About you
You should - 

• Have experience with the delivery of community care. 
  
• Take professional and organizational responsibility for managing a broad caseload of clients/patients/tangata whaiora in an autonomous manner.
  
• Have a New Zealand Full driver’s license. 
  
• Be a current New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapist
  
• Have a current Annual Practicing Certificate (or working at getting registration

We are seeking someone who is or has the ability to be accredited in the following areas:

• Personal care and household management.
  
• Basic and complex housing

Pay scale is in alignment with experience and the allied services and public health collective employment contract.
Salary range: $73,037 - $85,992
