Clinical Nurse Specialist - Adult Community Mental Health, Rodney

We are seeking to enhance the nursing clinical leadership with a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) position. The CNS role will contribute to advanced practice specialist nursing care in direct care delivery, contributing to the development of integrated service delivery across the continuum of care in the Rodney District.

The CNS will contribute advanced adult community mental health nursing knowledge and skills to the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care provided during a tāngata whaikaha hinengaro pathway.

The CNS will be expected to:

• Mentor, coaching and support for Registered and Enrolled Nurses.
• Provide clinical and professional nursing leadership.
• Role model evidence based nursing care in a multidisciplinary team.
• Establish of nursing quality initiatives.
• Manage potential risk associated with a tāngata whaikaha hinengaro by leading timely risk assessments, de-escalation and early intervention strategies.
