An opportunity has arisen to become a part of our team at Te Whatu Ora Tairawhiti in Gisborne.
Our team at Te Whare o Te Rito (ICAMHS) are looking for a Registered Mental Health Professional (Social worker, Counsellors, Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapy) with a relevant degree who has experience working with children and young people experiencing mental health problems. This position will provide a community based mental health service for children and young people. Tasks will include supporting transition between Te Waharoa (our point of entry for the Mental Health and Addictions services) and Te Whare o Te Rito ensuring this occurs in a timely and effective way for whanau, completing assessments, including risk assessments; formulation of management plans; and include a variety of interventions.
The remuneration range for this role is dependent on your qualifications and is covered by either the collective agreement: PSA Allied MECA Allied, Public Health & Technical , PSA Mental Health Public Nursing MECA

It is essential that you are a registered member of your New Zealand Professional Board with a current practicing certificate, have excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. One years’ experience or more working with children and young people with mental health problems is desirable.
