The NZ Intelligence Community (NZIC) is a vibrant, rapidly evolving community with a collective mission to keep New Zealand safe from foreign and domestic threats. 

The Web and Digital Services Team manage an enterprise suite of content management and productivity applications for GCSB and the NZIC, including our intranets, external websites and M365 / MS Teams.  These systems are an essential part of how the GCSB undertakes its mission to keep New Zealand safe.

As a Junior Technical Specialist you'll be working with our technical specialists to create solutions in the tools we support.  Day to day you might be developing workflows, templates, spaces and macros, publishing intranet content, or setting up blogs, surveys and web forms. You will support the team by triaging our incoming support requests and being our 'first responder' - but in return our technical and engagement specialists will challenge you with your own work packages and encourage you to develop your skills and experience in our applications. 

This is a busy and varied role with a strong ethos of customer support and delivering pragmatic solutions. We're a small team with diverse skills and experience, but what makes the team tick is putting our collective skills and ideas together to solve customer problems.

We want to hear from you if you:

• Have some experience in developing web and digital applications especially M365 and/or SharePoint on premise
• Have a 'can do' attitude and a desire to learn a range of applications

It would be a bonus if you also have experience with any of these:

• M365 Suite (eg Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, MS Teams)
• Javascript, JSON, React, PowerShell, PHP, MySQL, CSS, HTML, APIs, and/or
• developing workflow solutions - for example using Nintex, jira
• Using Content Management Systems eg WordPress, Silverstripe
• Have some experience in requirements gathering and user acceptance testing
