Allied Health Team Leader: Te Whetu Tawera
- 1 FTE, Fixed term for 24 months,
- Located at Te Whetu Tawera, Auckland City Hospital
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced allied health practitioner who is keen to demonstrate their people leadership skills within our acute inpatient Mental health unit, Te Whetu Tawera, part of Kāhui o te Ihi (Mental Health & Addictions Directorate). This role contributes to the leadership and clinical governance of Te Whetu Tawera, working collaboratively with the Service Clinical Director, Nurse Unit Manager, Service Lead Clinician, Practice Supervisors, Nurse Consultant and Business Administration to provide clinical leadership and operational management of the Allied Health staff.
There is approximately Allied Health 15 FTE within Te Whetu Tawera with a wide diversity of roles including: Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists.

We are looking for:
A NZ registered mental health Allied Health professional who recognises, that the world of medicine and health is ever-changing and are motivated to do what is right, not what is easy; to ensure our whaiora, whānau and communities thrive; and are committed to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori Health.
· You will have substantial clinical experience within a variety of health care team environments within a Mental Health setting with proven ability to motivate and develop individuals and teams.
· You will be able to demonstrate the ability to lead improvement and change initiatives.

The remuneration for this position is covered by a collective agreement (PSA Allied Health, Public Health and Technical MECA and APEX MECA for psychologists)
