Occupational Therapy Clinical Coach (Part Time) Health of Older People, Te Whatu Ora at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Counties Manukau, Auckland

Remuneration as per PSA Allied Health MECA guidelines (between step 9 $87,192 – 13 $103,144)

Occupational therapists- New career pathway opportunity. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist that is ready for a new challenge.

 We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the friendly and enthusiastic team within the Health of Older People Service. 

This role is the first of several across ARHOP (Adult Rehabilitation & Health of Older People) planned to support our occupational therapy workforce. The preferred applicant will have a passion for mentoring and coaching others, workforce development and service improvement. As Clinical Coach, you will work in conjunction with the team Section Head to support our occupational therapists in delivering high quality, evidence-based inpatient rehabilitation throughout the Health of Older People Service.  

The primary focus of the role will be coaching other Occupational Therapists who are new to the service, recently graduated, or working on aspects of their own professional development. Support in this role will be offered by the Clinical Director - Allied Health Scientific and Technical, the Professional lead- occupational Therapy and the wider Health of Older People leadership team.

We are seeking someone who is a great team player, capable of working in a culturally diverse environment, has great organisational and supervisory skills and is an open and approachable educator.

Essential:

  • NZ Registration with a current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Minimum of 5 years recent clinical experience
  • Full, drivers licence

 Desirable:

  • Experience in clinical education and supervision
  • Recent experience working in a rehabilitation setting
  • Experience in service development
