As we increase our team for 2024 we have two opportunities for a suitably qualified Interventional Cardiologists to join an established and progressive team based at the Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, New Zealand. Mōu | About you
We are looking to attract cardiologists with comprehensive training and experience in complex coronary intervention. One candidate will be expected to complement complex coronary intervention (CHIP programme). Additional experience in CT coronary angiography and echocardiography is desirable. Candidates should have completed advanced training in Cardiology (FRACP or equivalent) and be eligible for provisional vocational / vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

The successful applicants will join a well-established and dynamic team of 20 Cardiologists and 6 cardiac surgeons. There are 4 cardiac catheterisation labs including a custom built hybrid lab with technology to perform real time fusion imaging. The department is a leading national centre for structural heart disease intervention, and are developing a pioneering cardiac imaging service across the Te Manawa Taki region.
