At Te Whatu Ora - Counties Manukau, our Central Sterilising Services Department [CSSD] plays a crucial role in supporting the hospital’s theatres, wards and clinics. We do this by ensuring reusable medical devices are processed as per national and international sterilising standards.
What will you do?
As a Sterile Supply Technician or Trainee Technician, you will be responsible for sterilising reusable medical devices through a four-part process, which includes cleaning, packing, sterilising, followed by the distribution of reusable medical devices. We are proud of our thorough orientation programme, where you will get to learn about our key areas:
What will you bring?
As our newest team member, you don’t require any prior experience, but we are looking for ambitious individuals that enjoy constant learning, as there is a mandatory component to be qualified.

Our ideal candidate is fit and healthy, as the role does involve some manual labour, ie. standing for long periods of time and heavy lifting – but don’t worry … you won’t be standing alone.
