Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Wellington Hospital - s Sub Speciality Medicine Directorate is looking for an experienced Personal Assistant to join our team. We are looking someone to provide high level secretarial support and administrative assistance to a variety of services and their leadership teams.
This role works closely with other Group Personal Assistants to provide consistent administration process across the Provider Services Leadership teams.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
Provider Services is responsible for the hospital services and community based services within the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley (CCHV) District. Services are spread across Wellington, Kenepuru, and Hutt hospitals, and in the surrounding communities.
Provider services deliver hospital and specialist services in the CCHV district and works closely with other districts in the region to ensure national requirements for operational delivery are applied consistently.
Moū - About you
We are looking for someone with proven experience and a track record of success in a similar senior administrative role. You will have demonstrated ability to draft reports and understand financial analysis along with highly developed written and oral skills with the ability to communicate ideas in writing and verbally. Experience in a corporate environment dealing with stakeholder and customer relations is essential.
You will be able to maintain personal and professional integrity, be passionate about providing excellent customer service, as well as having the ability to make good decisions under pressure and to handle a range of competing pressures at one time.
Other skills and experience we are looking for include:
- Excellent word processing and PC skills with an advanced knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel, and an intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation
- Secretariat experience of senior management and clinical meetings
- Understanding of the health environment
- Project administration experience would be advantage
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Public Health and Disability Act and Official Information Act
