About the role
As the Principal Policy Analyst for Cyber Resilience of Critical Infrastructure, you will be in a unique position to ensure New Zealand's people and economy are resilient against cyber risk. This means you will be able to provide thought leadership across an interesting mix of areas, including policy, cyber security, and regulation while bringing your own special strategic and mentoring capabilities.
The role focuses on building relationships with critical infrastructure sectors and identifying actions that will increase their resilience based on insights we have as part of the intelligence community. It will also involve project leadership, stakeholder engagement, analysis, policy development and advice, and providing guidance to junior staff.
You will bring curiosity, a drive for results, and an ability to for trusted relationships that lead to more secure critical infrastructure for New Zealanders.
You could have a range of skills and experience from
- Cyber security IT and/or Operational Technology (OT)
- Engagement with critical infrastructure and
- Industry, regulation or policy analysis in government
While policy experience is crucial, knowledge and familiarity with critical infrastructure sectors, risk management, OT and IT systems, and security architecture could all be useful in this role. We're seeking policy candidates that can complement and support the diverse skills and knowledge in the NCSC.
