Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS) Auckland is looking for a full-time registered AOD clinician to work in our community-based addictions services, within Auckland Opioid Treatment Services (AOTS) for our North Shore and West Auckland services.

CADS is the largest Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) service in New Zealand providing addiction treatment across the Auckland region in a number of general and specialty areas.
CADS is committed to best practice community care with an emphasis on engagement, harm reduction and recovery focused promotion of well-being and healthy development.
AOTS is one of several CADS services operating across the Auckland region.
About the role
AOTS supports people with achieving and maintaining stability in opioid dependence. People are seen for booked clinic appointments and continuity of care is supported in primary care. We have an ageing population but all adult age groups are represented.
You will be committed to working with people facing addictions and their families. AOTS offers both long-term and short-term medication and recovery treatment in a multidisciplinary setting including nurses, doctors, pharmacists and key workers/clinicians from a range of backgrounds.
You will meet regularly with clients on a caseload basis, collaboratively review treatment goals and coordinate care toward client recovery goals.
Essential
A sense of social justice and enjoy working with people in all their complexity is required. You will have a non-judgmental attitude, excellent engagement and communication skills, and an ability to work autonomously within a team. You will also have:
- Full registration with a professional body (DAPAANZ, nursing, social work, counselling, psychology, occupational therapy or related fields)
- Full driver's licence without restrictions
- Legal right to work in NZ
- Ability to implement Te Tiriti O Waitangi in your daily work
Preferred
- Clinical experience in addictions or mental health or both
- Comfortable working in multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable working with other health and social service providers
Ideal
- Lived experience as a consumer or whanau member
- Experience in group facilitation
