Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Physiotherapist with a keen interest in working with people to live their best lives in both community and outpatient settings. Variety is the spice of life, and this role has the opportunity to develop skill sets across neuro outpatient rehabilitation, supporting wellness for older people, falls prevention, vestibular assessment and treatment, and rehabilitation under the ACC Training for Independence contracts.
We are a highly collaborative, goal-focused multi-disciplinary service working to support our communities to live their best lives. As a Physiotherapist in our team, you will be working with patients across the full adult age spectrum, ranging from people with early neurological diagnoses through to patients with a range of age-related and long term conditions. You will play an active role in supporting people to reach their goals, maximise their mobility and independence and promote self-management through goal-focused rehabilitation, provision of equipment solutions, compensatory strategies and falls prevention and education. You will work holistically, both independently as a Physiotherapist and collaboratively with your colleagues, to support and enable people to live their best lives.
Our Physiotherapists are highly valued members of our strong multi-disciplinary team. You will be well supported by a friendly team of highly skilled and experienced clinicians - both by your Physiotherapy colleagues and within the wider multidisciplinary team. We offer on-going professional development opportunities including a well established in-service programme, team training, a wide range of special interest groups and formal supervision. Cultural professional supervision is available from Māori and Pacific Health teams.
