The details: Permanent and casual - full time and part time, rostered shift work
Salary details: $63,450 to $74,442 + KiwiSaver
We are looking for individuals who can support our taangata whaiora and their whaanau during their admission period across our inpatient services.
Maaori are significantly represented across our services, which is why we are moving towards becoming a ‘culturally led, clinically underpinned’ service.
Delivering excellent care in a culturally responsive manner, to support the best outcomes for Maaori is fundamental to our mahi.
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
These roles offer an opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and passionate team in a mental health environment; every day is different and you have the opportunity to make a real impact to the lives of others. We currently have limited positions available; candidates with a good understanding of Te Ao Maaori and the ability to support our Maaori tangata whaiora through a strong Te Ao Maaori lens will be prioritised for interview.
Responsibilities of the role:
- To function as a member of an interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary team to contribute to achieving tangata whaiora goals.
- To report observed changes in tangata whaiora’s health status to the registered health professional.
- To have an understanding of potential/ actual risk factors and how to de-escalate and escalate to ensure the safety of our tāngata whai ora.
- To apply culturally safe principles in the workplace.
