About the Role
The Cardiac Physiologist is an allied health, scientific and technical professional who has formally demonstrated an ability to apply expert clinical competence to a highly advanced level of complexity in a defined clinical area within the clinical physiology scope of practice.
- Provide specialist Cardiology physiology practice with a particular focus on Pacing
- Participate in the growth and development of the Cardiology Service
- Provide clinical teaching and support to all relevant stakeholders, including patients and their whanau, students, staff and other health professionals
- Evaluate service requirements and participate in the implementation of clinical research and audits

About you
- BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
- New Zealand registration and current annual practising certificate
- Recognised Post Graduate Qualification (IBHRE)
- CPRB (and/or international equivalent) Registration with current practicing certificate
- Current Driver's License
- Willingness to travel
- Excellent self-management and organisational skills
- You will be an autonomous practitioner with ability to report independently
Whilst not essential, a relevant clinical post graduate Master's degree or six years post qualification experience within the area of specialty i.e. cardiac physiology including equivalent of 4 years Pacing experience is highly desireable.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
