Te āheinga mahi | The opportunity
As a Senior Policy Advisor your role could include scoping key policy issues that affect ACC and our customers; providing strategic advice to senior management and the ACC Board on the impact and response to these issues; and leading or supporting ACC's engagement in cross-government programmes of work.
ACCs position as a crown entity provides opportunity to contribute to government priorities with the advantage of being able to draw on a wealth of diverse perspectives, experience and operational technical expertise across the organisation. With this comes the satisfaction of seeing your work developed right through from initiation to operational implementation.
This is a fixed term opportunity for a period of 12 months.

You will be a thought leader who excels in tackling complex issues, who works well with stakeholders to provide robust advice to decision-makers.
A strong public policy background (ideally with experience in the health or social system) with understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
Experience working in economic policy or government financial analysis.
Superb relationship management and communication skills.
Sound judgement with an analytical ability allowing you to assimilate complex information and provide advice accordingly.
Inclusive, safe and collaborative working style which creates space for diverse perspectives.
Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and understanding of its application to the role.

The salary range for this role is $101,287 - $131,077 with appointment depending on skills and experience and internal relativities. For a detailed position description click here
