Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are seeking a Registered Mental Health clinician to join EPIT (Early Psychosis Intervention Team), in the vibrant and culturally diverse community of South Auckland.
At Counties Manukau people and their lives matter to us. Our community based Early Psychosis Intervention Service (EPIT), is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic clinician to join our mahi. Our team engages young adults (<30 years) and their whaanau along the road towards their recovery. This specialist service provides assessment and treatment for adolescents and young adults presenting with a first episode of psychosis.
Our EPIT service provides specialist mental health care for those with a first episode of psychosis. We also provide early intervention for those whaiora presenting with symptoms suggestive of high risk of developing a psychotic illness; and provide consultation and liaison with primary care partners for those with mild to moderate concerns.
As a clinician in our team, you will support our whaiora by facilitating group sessions, providing case management, support with assessment of their level of functioning, develop interventions to support recovery through meaningful participation in areas that are important to our whaiora and their whaanau. You will get to work collaboratively within our team, as well as autonomously within our early intervention model of care.
Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
- NZPB registration and a current Annual Practising Certificate
- A minimum 12 months practical experience in clinical psychology or equivalent
- Excellent report writing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full, clean driver’s licence
- Ability to work in a diverse community
