The details: Permanent – Full or part time- Rostered shifts (8 or 10 hour shifts)
Salary details: $77,087 to $107,600 per annum (pro rata for part time) + KiwiSaver

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity - Experienced Anaesthetic Technicians
We are looking for Anaesthetic Technicians who are based in NZ and who are wanting to enhance their current skills, be part of a team that is thriving for change and be proactive in picking up portfolios to enable our team to be successful. We will support you with education, ongoing clinical coaching and the opportunity to work in all theatres including:
- Trauma and critical care.
- Elective and acute theatres which include gynaecology, urology, orthopaedics, plastics.
- General surgical theatres include colorectal, breast surgery and endoscopic procedures.
- Our complex and challenging theatres include cardiothoracic, vascular, neurosurgery, maxillofacial, otolaryngology and obstetrics.
- We also look after our paediatric patients from neonates to over 2’s and up.
- Much more including the possibility to work in our Cardiac team

Key responsibilities of the role:
Having experience in airway management (especially difficult) is essential as well as working in a large, busy hospital where the key responsibilities of the role will be about:
- Being responsible for assisting in and delivery and evaluation of safe and appropriate centred care within the delivery of anaesthesia to a patient.
- Providing a professional manner, skilled, clinical and technical assistance to the anaesthetist.
- Working part of the theatre team in providing maximum quality care to patients undergoing anaesthesia.

Mōu | About you
Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of airway management.
- At least 3 years working as an Anaesthetic Technician (private or public).
- Have experience in working with various patient monitoring machines.
- Able to work rostered shifts (Days, PMs, weekends and nights).
- Must be registered and have an APC with the Medical Science Council with no restrictions/supervision requirements
- Have or be willing to undertake the preceptorship training to work closely with our trainees, new staff and AUT placements.
