Mō te tūranga / About the role
We have recently been appointed another full time oncologist appointment for the Lakes district, Rotorua/Taupo Hospitals. You will have a supportive team, made up of Oncologists, Registrar and Cancer Nurse Specialists, Annual Continuing Medical Education Funding and an opportunity to provide specialised care across inpatient, outpatient and day patient settings.
The Eligibility Criteria for this role:
- Specialist qualification in medical oncology
- Qualifications recognised for specialist registration with the New Zealand Medical Council
- Current Annual Practising Certificate
- Be able to work under pressure and prioritise a heavy clinical workload
- Have excellent written and communication skills
- Demonstrate a team approach to work and a collaborative working relationship with management
- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification.
- Understanding in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.
- A valid, NZ driver’s license and ability to drive to peripheral oncology clinics

Awhe utu / Salary range
$ 185,380 to $ 267,980 as per ASMS Salary Scales
