Te tūranga - The role
The Senior Analyst Financial Inclusion will take forward RBNZ's Approach to Financial Inclusion. This role will be focused on supporting cross bank initiatives on financial inclusion. This will include:
- Working with the Council of Financial Regulators Financial Inclusion Community of Practice to undertake research on basic bank accounts.
- Supporting RBNZ led research to ensure high quality research outputs, socialise findings throughout government, and to help embed next steps.
- Supporting internal collaboration on cross-cutting policy work, such as the consideration of financial inclusion under the Deposit Takers Act and as part of the Depositor Compensation Scheme.
- Support the measurement of financial inclusion as part of our work to leverage data and information.
Ō pūkenga - About you
To be successful in this role you'll have:
- Experience supporting the development and refinement of policy, regulation, and/or legislation
- Strong written and analytical skills
- An understanding of the financial inclusion landscape including options to analyse issues and the key policy and regulatory options.
- Knowledge of the key economic and financial issues facing New Zealand communities.
- Adaptable, collaborative and able to thrive in a high-paced environment
- Ability to make sound decisions, devise creative solutions and encourage innovation.
