We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager for an exciting 18 month fixed-term opportunity where you'll get to work within a multi-disciplinary environment to build a new online gambling regulatory system.

This is a new regulatory initiative for New Zealand. Overseas gambling is regulated in many overseas jurisdictions, and it is expected that New Zealand will look to relevant overseas counterparts in planning for its introduction here.

The Senior Project Manager will report to the Programme Director, Online Gambling Implementation as line manager but will be expected to work in partnership with other workstream leads in the implementation group. They will also have a relationship with senior leaders in the wider Regulatory Services group and the governance oversight body for the implementation programme.

The timeframes to get the regulatory regime up and running are tight, so the Senior Project Manager will need to have excellent project management planning skills, with expertise in using project management tools to keep us on track.

You will need to be comfortable working with ambiguity - because we haven't done regulated online gambling before in New Zealand - and be at ease working with senior leaders and governance boards. One of the key attributes that will be required is the ability to work alongside other leaders in a fast-paced environment, solving complex problems through collaboration.
