About the Role
The Facilities Maintenance Manager is a key member of the Infrastructure and Investment Group, South Island team and is responsible for the overall management of facilities and maintenance across Health New Zealand - South Canterbury. Based at Timaru Hospital this role is responsible continuous improvement, maintenance planning and prevention, and leads a team of 5 personnel.
About you
We are seeking some-one from a trade related field with
experience in facility and business management. The person will be able to
build positive and collaborative customer relations both internally and
externally. Other skills and abilities
include:
- Able to work operationally while leading the service
- Broad knowledge of building and engineering system and maintenance services
- Able to deliver professional services that meet all codes of compliance
- Is health and safety driven
- Proven leadership experience
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give
effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of
Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in
healthcare settings.
