Contract: 12 months fixed-term, part-time (0.5 FTE)
Salary: $57,291 - $63,630 (pro-rated)
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
The Clerical Assistant will provide administration assistance to the Clinical Typing team who provides transcription services for clinicians. In this role you will ensure all printing and administrative requests including the mail out of clinical letters are sent to the general practitioners and other recipients in a timely manner. We are currently looking for two people to join us on a part-time basis, working 20 hours per week.
Duties include:
- Providing administrative support to the Clinical Typing team including administrative assistance with the mailing out of clinical letters.
- Ensuring that letters are collated and distributed to the relevant practices and discrepancies are dealt within a timely manner.
- Provide support and assistance for approval of documents for clinical typists both electronically and physically sent out.
- All clerical and administrative functions are undertaken in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with instructions.

The Clinical Typing team sits within our Patient Administration Services department. We are a group of clinical typists who support many specialties within the Hospital, by transcribing clinical letters as dictated by the Clinicians. The team provides a timely and accurate service to the Clinicians to ensure positive outcomes for patients. You will be part of a fun team that is encouraging and supportive, and you will work in a learning environment with opportunities to develop further your skills.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience in an administrative role with an eye for detail, great communication skills and the ability to work with confidential information.
