We currently have a vacancy for an Operational Policy Advisor to join our team. This is a permanent role based in Wellington; applications will also be considered for those who prefer to be based in Manukau (Auckland) or Dunedin.
The Operational Policy Team develops operational policy to help ACC achieve its organisational and legislative objectives.'As an Operational Policy Advisor at ACC, you will influence the quality and consistency of frontline decision making to enhance Aotearoa's experience of ACC.
The work you do will be varied and will involve collaboration across the organisation.'In addition to implementing legislation changes, you'll lead policy improvement work and support a work programme to ensure our operational policies are current and fit for purpose.'

Ko wai koe | About you
- Experience applying analysis skills to identifying the cause of complex problems, developing options and assessment criteria.
- Proficient written communication skills and experience writing for different audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and make positive contributions to the team.
- A commitment to equity and improving access, experience and outcomes for Māori and identified population groups.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic policy environment.
- A background in a similar role (e.g. in a specialist or policy role), preferably advising in complex operating environments and/or working at the interface between policy and operations.
- This role provides a real opportunity to affect the lives of New Zealanders by ensuring that they are provided with the right rehabilitation support at the right time. You'll also enjoy being part of a team of supportive, knowledgeable and passionate kaimahi (employees) delivering value to ACC through the operational policy work programme.

The base salary range for this role is $89,288 - $110,047 with appointment depending on skills and experience and internal relativities. ACC also offers 9% superannuation.
