About the Role
Responsibility for the operational management of IPC Service nursing, establishing a collaborative and functional team culture that embraces quality service delivery, innovation and change.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Lead Waikato Districts IPC Service nursing team with effective clinical and professional leadership to fulfil the infection prevention and control goals, strategies and initiatives
About you
- Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand current practising certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- Post graduate qualifications relevant to specialty
- Masters qualified or Masters preparation commenced
- Previous leadership experience in nursing or midwifery roles in infection prevention
- In depth (minimum 8 years) and contemporary experience in infection prevention and control roles
- Experience in leading and implementing change and improvement strategies
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
