Contract: Two permanent, part-time positions available (0.6 FTE)
Salary: $28.40 - $31.93 hourly rate
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
The role of Orderly/Security Orderly is fast paced and involves a variety of duties including transporting patients, medical records, equipment, and clinical waste to appropriate locations throughout the hospital.
Because there is interaction with patients and staff, you will need to have a high degree of customer service, meet set timeframes, and be able to cope with the physically demands of the role.
It would be an advantage if you had previous experience working in a healthcare environment or have worked in a similar role before.

Our Hutt Valley Security Orderlies are people who are passionate about creating a safe, secure environment for patients and staff at Te Whatu Ora Hutt Valley. They will work with the hospital community to protect the property against fraud and theft while living up to our core values of always caring with a can-do attitude.
We strive to provide a high level of customer service that respects the rights and cultural needs of all individuals, and works effectively with other health staff across the organization.

In order to be a successful candidate for this position, you should be:
- Helpful and approachable: You will be dealing with customers all day, so it's important that you can make them feel comfortable.
- Communicate well: You will need to be able to explain things in a way that makes sense.
- Physically fit: This job can be physically demanding, so we recommend exercising at least 30 minutes a day.
- Have a clear criminal history: You must pass a background check in order to be hired.
- Must be able to complete 12-14 weeks rostered and rotating fulltime training.
