About the Role:
Are you ready to step into a dynamic and rewarding role? We are on the lookout for experienced Casual Security Officers to join our team at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Te Matau a Māui, Hawke’s Bay.
This exciting role covers both the Hastings Memorial Hospital and the Napier Health Centre, providing 24/7 security services.

About the Team/Service/ Location:

About you:
You are calm under pressure, proactive, and confident in handling situations independently. Your ability to connect with people and work collaboratively will set you apart.
Essential skills and experience:
- Experience in security or a related field (healthcare or mental health experience is an advantage).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
- Medical and physical fitness suitable for the role.
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to obtain a Security Guard License (COA).
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
