- Exciting opportunity to join the leadership team at Tū Māia, a dedicated Youth Forensic Team based at Greenlane Clinical Centre
Working in partnership with a lead clinician and the support of a clinical coordinator you will provide clinical and operational leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians.
Tū Māia provides services for the Auckland and Waitemata catchment areas. Counties Manukau and Northland have local youth forensic teams of designated clinicians who liaise with Tū Māia for support or specialist expertise.
The Tū Māia team:
- Provides in-reach to the two secure residences in South Auckland.
- Offers intervention to young people in the community.
- Provides court ordered reports – both clinical and cultural.
- Provide triage assessments and advice within the supra regional youth courts.
- Facilitate admission for any rangatahi requiring admission to the National secure youth forensic inpatient unit.
- Actively liaises with Youth Coordination Teams (these are interagency case review forums which include representatives from the Police, Ministry of Education, mental health services and Oranga Tamariki).

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
The Clinical Team Leader role has responsibility for a multidisciplinary team of mental health clinicians. The role includes both a clinical and leadership/management component, reporting to the Service Clinical Director and Operations Manager and working collaboratively with the Lead Clinicians and clinical coordinator.
The multi-disciplinary team is made up of mental health professionals from the disciplines of psychiatry, psychology, social work, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, nursing and cultural advisors.

The position requires a self-motivated and conscientious leader with a strong clinical and service user focus. You will relish the challenges and enjoy working in a supportive environment. You will have a positive attitude, flexibility and a proven ability to form good relationships with staff, service users and their families/whanau. You will work collaboratively at a senior clinical level with clients, colleagues, mental health service providers, and other community agencies to promote service user recovery.
We welcome applications from experienced NZ registered Mental Health Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Registered psychotherapists Occupational Therapists and Social Workers. A full and clean driver's license is required.
