About the Role
We are excited to be able to appoint to the ACC Co-ordinator position at Health New Zealand Te Whata Ora, Te Matau a Māui – Hawkes Bay. The successful candidate will perform various administrative and co-ordinating tasks for effective management related to injured patients as they flow through the hospital systems.
About the Team/Service/ Location
While it may be a back-office role, it is diverse, and you will make a significant contribution in the timely support for injured patients from ACC and right funding for the hospital.
You will be working with a small team for 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday, currently based at our Hastings site. Hours of work will be from 8:00am - 4:30pm.

About you
You would need to have experience of working in a Health Sector environment, a passion for process improvement, the ability to analyse and interpret data, and an understanding of revenue management. Experience in patient management systems would be advantageous.
If you have a flexible can-do attitude, good attention to detail, organisational skills, a passion for life-long learning, accepting continuous improvement, and changes in process, this is the role for you.
You will also need the following key attributes and skills:
- Experience in a Health Sector environment (essential)
- Good attention to detail and accuracy (essential)
- Good organisation skills (essential)
- Process and Data Analysis (essential)
- Experience in Revenue and Contract management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound customer service skills, including with challenging situations
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
