Contract: Fixed Term, Part-Time (0.8 FTE, 64 hours per fortnight) – Covering Maternity Leave until March 2026

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our General Paediatric Ward on a fixed-term basis. Our 16-bed facility provides care for children up to 15 years of age in an acute paediatric setting. This role offers an opportunity to make a real difference in children's health while working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

About the Team/Service/ Location:
Our Children's Ward is a supportive environment where nurses work closely with families to provide high-quality, patient-centred care. The team is passionate about paediatrics and takes pride in fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence in healthcare.
About you:
You will be a Registered Nurse who has:
- Proven experience in paediatric nursing, ideally within an acute setting
- A passion for working with children and supporting their families
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- A desire for variety, challenge, and continuous learning
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
