We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Personal Assistant/Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support to our Mental Health and Addictions Services Executive team.
The role provides support and assistance to three Directors and manages a small team of administrators. As well as the usual diary and meeting management and administration, you will assist with, co-ordinate and manage multiple reporting requirements, meet deadlines and prioritise and re-prioritise your own and the team’s workflow.
You will need to demonstrate your initiative, quickly learning urgent vs important in this context and working as part of a leadership team that is focused on supporting tāngata whaiora and whānau.
About the Service
We are the Mental Health and Addictions Service arm of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu - Waikato. We provide specialist services for tāngata whaiora who are experiencing serious mental health difficulties.
About you
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
- Recent and extensive experience in an executive/senior leadership support role within a large complex organisation.
- Computing / information management (essential) or relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems, acquired through training and experience.
- Knowledge and experience to deal with non-routine issues, such as problem solving.
- Demonstrated ability with written and oral communication, and relating effectively with people.
- Demonstrated ability to work pro-actively, use initiative, and be organised and methodical.
