Te Whakahaere Taurewa o Aotearoa | New Zealand Debt Management
Te Whakhaere Taurewa o Aotearoa, New Zealand Debt Management (NZDM) are responsible for managing the Crown's borrowing needs and associated investment portfolios. They build and maintain relationships with a diverse global investor base, credit rating agencies and other participants in New Zealand Government debt market products, which include nominal (including green) and inflation-indexed bonds. They manage the Crown's cash needs, ensuring cash is always available, as required. In addition, they support Government departments in their financial risk management requirements and implement Crown loans.

Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
This is a six-month fixed term part-time role (circa 25 hours a week) reporting to the Senior Strategic Engagement Advisor, NZDM. The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the New Zealand Debt Management directorate to deliver projects and for sharing good practice in the delivery of projects across teams.
In this role, you'll also have the opportunity to:
- Support project owners through the planning, delivery and review phases of projects
- Create, maintain and track key tools to produce management information
- Champion best practice in managing the flow of information and planning of projects
- Strengthen the directorate's business planning and strategy processes, and
- Help identify opportunities and dependencies between NZDM projects and work in the wider Treasury
Total remuneration for this role will be between $78,264 and $92,075 per annum, based on skills and experience and will be pro rated for the length of the fixed term and hours worked.
Ō pūmanawa | About You
We are looking for someone who has some Project Coordination experience and who is eager to grow their career. You will be a key interface between our internal stakeholders, working at the intersection of the public sector and financial markets. You will help enable NZDM to deliver successful project outcomes. You will have:
- Professional or developing project coordinator experience with a Prince2 qualification or equivalent and the ability to manage multiple work streams
- Highly developed administration, organisational and reporting skills, with experience developing and maintaining project plans, resource plans, and risk and issue registers
- Experience working with cross-team or cross-organisation projects
- A customer-centric view with elevated relationship management and influencing skills
- Excellent critical thinking skills and great attention to detail
- High levels of integrity, with the discretion and tact to manage confidential information
