About the Role
Our integrated team Te Ratonga Ārai Mate - Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Service/Arakato o Tangata - Vessel Health Preservation and Intravenous Access is currently recruiting for Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team with a lot of interesting professional opportunities for the right candidate.
In this role, you would provide advice and coaching on vascular access and intravenous therapy to promote quality patient outcomes underpinned by recognised best practice standards. You will encourage and role model appropriate infection prevention and control practices to minimise risk of complications associated with vascular access and intravenous therapy, particularly healthcare associated bloodstream infections.
About the Service
Our integrated team Te Ratonga Ārai Mate - Infection Prevention and Control Service/Arakato o Tangata - Vessel Health Preservation and Intravenous Access strategically deploy resources promoting best practice standards in infection prevention and control as well as vessel health preservation and intravenous therapy to improve safety for patients, staff and visitors to our health care facilities.
About you
You will be given the opportunity to gain knowledge and expand your clinical capabilities in the exciting specialty practice area of vascular access.
- Your ability to work effectively both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team in a variety of situations with both individuals and groups is imperative, as you are responsible for providing vascular access advice, education and recommendations to clinical staff across a wide variety of disciplines.
- Your clinical knowledge and experience in addition to diplomacy, respect and professionalism, will be key to engaging with staff and patients to ensure your success in this role.
- A passion for promoting quality patient outcomes in vascular access and intravenous therapy is essential and a full orientation programme and training will be provided.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday between 08:00 - 20:00 hrs
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
