Digital Services & Solutions sits within Digital Services, a branch dedicated to supporting the Department to succeed by providing digital services that help business groups and people within DIA and the wider Government to make the best contribution to New Zealand.

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Teams/SharePoint Online individual capable of leading our adoption of this technology and contributing to ongoing development and implementation of solutions. Your customer-centric focus means you will proactively identify business opportunities and add value to the business streams.
Essential skills
- Ability to establish and share best practices and set standards for ongoing operations of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and M365
- Contribute to service improvement programs and initiatives
- Mentor and coach others on the development and configuration of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online
- Work as part of our product team to provide 3rd level support and continuous improvement to our branches
- Ensure new features are reviewed, their impacts understood and that these are communicated clearly to stakeholders
- Help establish and lead a community of practice for MS Teams and SharePoint Online
- Understand business needs and technical requirements to design and implement 'fit for purpose' solutions in M365 and SharePoint Online
- Contribute to the development of new initiatives and the successful delivery of programmes and projects
- Actively contribute to a positive team culture of inclusiveness, continuous improvement and fun
Desirable skills
- Proactively monitor, audit and report on Platform and security to identify and address areas of potential risk, and ensuring compliance with service level expectations and DIA IT Security Policies
- Extend and update M365 documentation and FAQ documentation to support the business and technology teams
- Provide guidance/input to operational security for key platforms
- Work with our Information management team to help establish new policies through better product understanding
- Assist in the development of estimates for capital bids and business case development
