About the Role
An exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse looking for professional and career development. The Nurse Coordinator (NC) Nurse Entry to Practice (NETP) and Postgraduate (PG) nursing funding is a senior designated role that provides coordination of all components of the Hutt Valley NETP programme and PG nursing funding. They work closely with managers, nurse educators, and clinical coaches in HSS and across the primary and community settings. This role is based at Hutt Valley within the Nursing Workforce and Practice Development Unit.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Workforce and Practice Development Unit (W&PDU) supports the Chief Nursing Officer and Nurse Directors across the District. The W&PDU provides leadership and support for undergraduate, pre-registration, postgraduate, professional development and recognition and the graduate entry programmes and ongoing learning for staff across the District and Region. Professional development is an important workforce focus across primary, secondary and tertiary services; as is developing, managing and improving processes and systems to optimise workforce capability and resilience to ensure quality patient outcomes.
About you
Are you a registered nurse (RN) who thrives on variety and relishes a good challenge? This role offers a dynamic mix of leadership responsibilities and will suit a RN who is passionate about developing graduate nurses and making a real difference in workforce development. If you enjoy working collaboratively with teams across the District, have strong attention to detail and planning skills, then this senior designated role supporting the nursing workforce is the perfect opportunity for you. You will bring to this role:
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and equitable outcomes in health
- Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within HSS and across the primary and community sector
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to set goals and deliver outcomes
- Minimum three years post-graduate nursing experience
- Post-graduate nursing qualification or working towards this
